Spike The Hegehog!

After school, I walked home with mum. In the middle of the road, we saw a hedgehog.
In the middle of the road!? Mum had a very strong and soft fabric in her bag so she picked him up and put him in the little bag, in the pram just in case he gets runs over. I thought I could name him spike, and that was his name from now on!

We put him in a bush, which was pretty close to our house. After that I went into our garden, and I accidentally left the back gate open, which led to our backyard. When I was jumping on my tramp, I noticed something spiky walking around. At first I felt a bit scared but then I found it was SPIKE!

So first I looked for some snails for him to eat. I found five under a barrel and gave them to him. He started munching on them, breaking the shells noisily.
Later on he started to walk around next to the fence.
(You will see two pictures of him next to the fence).

But then he started digging a hole where he could go under the fence.
And you know what, that's just what he did! He had dug up a hole so he could get out of here for once and for all.

Me and my sisters were really sad. If he stayed we could've kept him as a pet. But he would've died if he had stayed, because he wouldn't have been able to find some food. But it was good that he left. I'll still miss him though.
It was nice having him to stay.( for about 11 minutes).
